It’s been a wet, miserable kind of day here today so I’ve squirrelled myself away in my craft studio and took the plunge and cut up some designer series paper and vellum. I’m not sure if you’re like me but I usually only buy this paper to look at and stroke occasionally 😉 I had a real phobia about cutting it up and using it on cards. Last year i was lucky enough to attend another Stampin UP! demonstrators craft retreat and Julie gently coaxed me into cutting up y precious paper! Julie is so talented and you can check out her fabulous page on Facebook here :

I have used vellum pieces on these cards, and embossed the sentiment above in copper embossing powder (one of my favourites), I’ve found that I can stick patterned vellum onto cards without the glue showing through.

This card gives a sneak peak of a new stamp set arriving in the annual catalogue in June

This is the simplest of all the cards and is made for a friend who loves green as much as I do.
I feel quite accomplished having cut up card and vellum and it wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be, in fact, it was really fun! I’ve been joined in craft studio by Boddington and Bailey, two of our dogs. We brought these two back from China when we moved back to the UK last year. Bod has just been neutered so is wearing a rather fetching t-shirt to contain his modesty

Bailey, the poodle, likes to mother him. We also have another dog, Miller, she’s from Romania and I’m sure she’s half goat 🙂
Well, I’m off for a cuppa and to prepare dinner. Until next time
Happy Crafting
Beautiful cards Ruth …. and glad to be of service 😂! x
