I have had a gel press in my stash for years and recently it seems to have become a bit more trendy to use it, so I searched through my drawers and dusted it off. I then found a stencil and went to town. I used Rococo Rose and my white ink pad and layered away. I love the depth you can get from creating your own background papers. I then cut out the heart and the word love using the dies and stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it. I used another one of the dies to cut out the sentiment strip. The background paper, the word love and the sentiment strip are all mounted onto dimensional.

I created the background for this card in the same way but used gorgeous grape. I then cut out the butterflies using the Butterfly Beauty die from the main catalogue and then cut the butterflies apart. I then cut out one of the dies from the Painted Labels set to create a focal point for my greeting. I embossed the sentiment in black and cut out a few of the tiny butterflies. I then added some silver holographic sequins from my stash. To top off this card I took my Wink of Stellar pen and coloured on top of all the butterflies and the effect is gorgeous.

They are so sparkly and shiny and I just love them. I really enjoyed making these two cards and trying out new ways to use the same things. I have listed below the items I used and if you would like to have a go then click on my shop now button and you can order everything to be delivered straight to your door. Anyone who orders the sets for these cards will receive a free instruction booklet with easy to follow steps showing you how I made them so you can have a go yourself.
Right, I am now off to walk the dogs. Until next time

these are great cards
Thanks 🙂
