Today I challenged myself to use a colour that I wouldn’t usually use. I love Polished Pink but I am more of a softer, pastelly kind of girl. I embossed some polished pink cardstock and then I sanded it down to soften the vibrancy just a bit. I then took a small piece from the Expressions in Ink designer series paper. I ran the Flower Market die through my die cutting machine using the shimmery vellum and then created a white frame using basic white cardstock.

I “hid” the designer series paper beneather the raised frame and then used the gold foil paper to complement the gold accent from the designer series paper (you can just see the gold peeking through the frame)
Overall, I like the card and will make it again with different colours but I feel like I’ve accomplished my challenge. I do think it’s a godd idea to leave my comfort zone once in a while (though not too often ;))
Well the rain has stopped outside the front of the house but bizarely its still raining out the back! I am now off to sketch some card ideas.
Hope you’re having a wonderful day and until next time
