Sorry for the unplanned absence, I have degenerative disc disease and I managed to damage the discs above my last fusion and ended up in hospital. I’m on the mend now and thankfully sitting is ok, standing and walking not so much, so the perfect excuse for sitting in my craft room…..
I had seen the new pastel set in the latest catalogue and wanted to have a go using them n a card. I have seen a lot of people using them with versamark ink but I thought I would try using them over an embossed image. It’s a bit like the rubbings I used to do as a child.
I used my embossing folder and then basically just rubbed the pastels gently over the flowers. They seem to blend really well as the flowers were a blend of the red and yellow and the leaves were a blend of the 2 greens in the set.
For this card I used a different embossing folder and then used the pastels to create a rainbow. I then cut out a frame and stamped the weird hello sing my stampin up markers as the ink. I then stamped the word friend in black. I used dimensionals on the back of the frame to raise if off the card a bit
These are lovely quick cards to create and I enjoyed playing with the pastels. What do you think?
