Every year Stampin Up brings out their mini catalogue, this runs from July through until December and it brings with it your chance to earn free stamp sets, dies and paper through the saleabration period. During this time every time you spend £45 on products from either the mini or the annual catalogues you qualify for a free gift and this year they have outdone themselves again. I love receiving my mini catalogue and seeing what goodies I can get. This year they have added stamp sets to those we loved from last year and that’s perfect for me as it gives me a chance to create some Christmas in July.
Even though the weather has been anything but Christmassy recently I have still enjoyed creating some Christmas cards and this year I decided to make the ”double box card” for my first few cards. You can see my Christmas in July from last year here http://stampinghappiness.com/2021/07/13/continuing-my-christmas-in-july/
As you can see, this years cards are using some of the elements from last years cards which helps save on the pennies.

For this box card I created it using the vertical aspect. I used the beautiful Stitched Greenery die on the white background as it is such a versatile die and works just as well with Christmas cards as any other type of card,

and then for this card I switched to a horizontal design and used an embossing folder to create interest on the background. These cards are very quick and easy to make but they look so lovely. You can see how this new Leaves of Holly works so well with last years Merriest Moments stamp set. There are more examples of the Merriest Moments bundle here http://stampinghappiness.com/2021/10/04/merriest-moments-christmas-stampin-up/
Well that’s it for today. We are off to the Kenilworth Food Festival to see what delights they have to offer and then later I will be back in my craft room creating a card using a fantastic die set that you can get for FREE with saleabration.
Until next time
