Today is my first time joining the very talented people over a Crafty Collaborations for their weekly blog hop. This week it’s all about dry embossing using embossing folders. I have created 3 cards using different techniques

With this card I embossed the top and the bottom of the card and then drew a straight line using my simply scored board. I then cut out the butterfly from some of the gorgeous expressions in ink paper and then cut a solid image using gold mirror card. I then stamped the greeting.

This is a close up view of the butterfly, it’s so pretty

For this card I embossed the card base with the ornate floral embossing folder and then ran my ink pad very gently over the top to add some colour. I also embossed both sides of the envelope to add some interest there.

For my final card I used 2 embossing folders. I gently rubbed the new pastels over the embossed part at the top of the card and I then cut out the flowers using the meadow dies and gently coloured them using the pastels again. I put the flowers into one of the mason jar shaker domes.

I hope this has given you some different ideas of how to use embossing folders in your card making and if you have any questions, please let me know in the comments section.
