Do you ever think, when you are creating a card, that this design would be just perfect for a shaker card? that’s what happened as I designed this card yesterday. Once again I am using the gorgeous FREE saleabration (with an order of £45 or over) papers and I decided that I wanted some dimension on the card so I added some double sided foam to the back of the panel. It was as I was doing this that I thought if I use cetacean instead of vellum I could turn this card into a shaker card (and I just LOVE shaker cards!)

So I came up with this design, still using the free papers but with acetate so I could make the shaker element. It’s easy to create a shaker card using the foam strips as they are just the right size and they bend easily too so you could create a round shaker card (watch this space…)
I had to go to hospital today as I have degenerative disc disease in my spine and despite having many operations in the past I am currently having problems with my arms (eeek) so today I had the joy of having nerve conduction tests where the stick a needle into various spots and then put electric shocks through them. Not very pleasant but hopefully it will help explain the pain in my arms. I now have to wait 3 weeks for the results. My friend Debbie took me and to cheer me up we popped to a couple of crafting shops as she is helping me try quilting.
Until next time
