Last Few….

I love the embossing folder that is available in the new catalogue and decided to use that together with some of the gorgeous gold foil accents from the annual catalogue. This card came together so quickly yet is so Christmassy.

Again another really quick card using one of the stamps in the bundle to create my own background and I used gold embossing powder to create more interest. It really is merry and bright.

And last, but by no means least, I used the other border die and the joy stop to create another really quick card. I filled the berry’s in with red glitter and they really catch the light.

It’s been soooooo hot lately and last night we had a rumbling thunderstorm for a few hours and a tiny bit of rain but it’s just as hot today. I really can’t complain though as my eldest daughter is a student nurse who opened in and has been working on the acute medical ward during the Covid crisis. I am so incredibly proud of her and a little in awe of her courage and commitment.

She sent me this phot after a 13 hour shift in this horrible heat whilst having to wear a mask and glasses and putting on full PPE when necessary. I miss her when she’s away at uni and I am thankful that there are such things as face time etc.

I really hope this has shown you lots of different ways you can use the one bundle to create quick and easy Christmas cards. Should you wish to order any of the items I have used today I have listed them below. Just click on my shop now button and Stampin Up will send them straight to you.

Until next time

A Few More

It’s been a bit too warm to play in the craft hut this week but today it seems a bit cooler so I managed to escape and create a few more cards I created using the Peace and Joy bundle. I love this card as it seems so happy to me so the sentiment joy is totally fitting, I stamped the background using the stamps in the set and the matted it on some contrasting card.

On this one I used some silver embossing powder on the white cardstock to add a bit of dimension and I then layered the words onto the contrasting cardstock.

I again used the silver embossing to create my own background paper and then added the die cuts to the front.

My youngest daughter is training to be a commercial pilot and this week I was lucky enough to accompany her on her qualifying cross country. We flew from Coventry to Welshpool, then to Humberside and the back to Coventry. It was an amazing day and she flew over 300nm. At one point we were watching the Red Arrows practice before we could take off. She’s only 18 so she’s doing really well and is loving her flying.

I am working tomorrow but will be back in a few days with some more cards for you

Until then

Peace and Joy Bundle

Over the next few days I will be focusing on the Peace and Joy bundle. It’s so versatile as it allows you to create very quick cards. Today I have teamed the bundle with the stunning Feels Like Frost paper (150444). This designer series paper is so beautiful and it really helps to make these cards to quick to create.

The first set of cards I made feature the photo side of the paper and are not my idea of a typical Christmas colour. I love to try different things and these cards are totally different to what I would usually consider to be Christmas colours and I LOVE them! I have used a bit of wink of Stella (141897) to add some sparkle to the paper but that’s all it really needed as the paper itself is so beautiful.

The second set of cards are made using the shiny side of the paper and these are done in the more traditional colours. No wink of Stella required on these ones 🙂

I created the cards using the celebration labels dies from the new autumn/winter catalogue.

I am happy to create a video showing how I made theses cards and if you would like that please let me know.

I have listed the supplies I used below and they are all available from my online shop.

Please let me know what you think and until next time

Dressed to Impress Bags

Excuse my messy desk, I’m just not a tidy person. I just wanted to share this little bag I made using the Dress to Impress bundle. The paper is retired but I made the bags for a friend who has a boutique so I wanted to use the paper for her specifically as she wants to sell the bags with nail varnish and makeup products in them. I then got to thinking how I could use the badge for Christmas presents and then I decided to make a video showing you how to make them. This is only my second ever video so there’s lots of mistakes and I stick my fingers together more than once, but hopefully you will be able to see just how quickly these bags go together and that they can hold quite a bit.

I promise I’m learning with each video I make and they will get better if you bear with me. I am now off to walk the 5 rescue dogs below

It’s the little things

I have a lot of grown up nieces, God children etc and I always struggle with what to get them for a gift and they generally ask for money which I’m happy with but it would be nice to be able to put that money in something a little more interesting than an envelope so when I spotted this beautiful die in the mini catalogue I knew exactly what I wanted to make with it.

This one I kept simple and used a couple of the square vellum doilies and decorated them with gold faceted gems, clear crystal gems and I coloured a few red to add some contrast.

This one is made using an embossing folder to create texture and then I embellished it with some red and gold.

This one is made using the copper foil cardstock and a bit of punching and sticking

This last one is more traditional in red and gold with some embossing powder thrown in for effect.

These little tiny boxes are perfect to slip some money inside and hang from the tree and they can be used year after year.

I hope you are enjoying the teasing items from the new catalogue and I promise I will be back soon with something from the current catalogue.

Christmas in July

I have had so much fun creating this cup holder set and couldn’t wait to share it with you. It is one of the new suites in the upcoming Autum/Winter catalogue which goes live on August 4th. If you would like a copy of the catalogue please drop me an email and I will send you one out.

The cups are a really good size and I plan to put little packets of hot chocolate/cocoa and marshmallows in them for gifts. I will also make chocolate spoons to go with them.

The cups are very quick and easy to decorate with everything that comes in the suite and you will love creating some of your own.

This is the back of the carrier and of course, there’s some glitter on there 🙂 What do you think? Can you imagine what you will do with them? I will make a video showing you how to create these and I’ll be back with it soon.

A video (or two)

So today I tried recording my first ever video! Blimey what a faff 🙂 I thought I had my phone on do not disturb but then it rang so I had to end the video and start a second one. However, I eventually managed to do it (with the help of my teenage daughter). I hope it’s ok. There’s no fancy editing or anything, just me showing you some of the gorgeous new supplies that will be available from August.

And here’s video 2 after I had managed to put the do not disturb function on properly.

Please let me know what you think, it’s quite a daunting thing to do and I now realise how much time and effort all the amazing people I follow on YouTube put into creating their amazing videos. I’m now off to learn how to edit videos properly and I may record some more once I’ve had a nice cup of tea and calmed my nerves.

Until then

A Little Give Back

Just a quickie post as a large brown box has just arrived for me filled with goodies from the Autumn Winter catalogue that goes live in August. I am trying to pluck up the courage to do my first ever video with me unpacking the box and showing you some of the amazing products that you can buy from August 4th including all our wonderful Christmas items for 2020.

In the meantime I wanted to share the above amazing offer with you. For every £45 you spend in July, Stampin Up will email you a voucher with £4.50 to spend in August. So if you spend £90 to will get vouchers worth £9.00. This is an amazing deal because believe me, when you see the new Christmas goodies you will want to buy it all so the vouchers will be a big help!

I promise I’ll try and upload a video, if I do, please be gentle with me

A like and An “I’m not sure”

So I have set my team a challenge this week to create some 3D projects and I follow an extremely talented lady on You Tube called Ronda Wade https://youtu.be/lCKTGG1ww9I where she has created these beautiful box frames. I got out the Forever Greenery suite items and created this frame which I love.

I then decided to create something a little Christmassy (well you can never be too early, can you?) and I’m really not sure if I like it

I’m not sure what it is that I don’t like but I think it’s the gold.

It’s still a box frame with a shaker globe in the middle and it is starting to grow on me but I’m not in love with it just yet. What do you think?

Today I got an extra special treat as my youngest daughter is training to become a commercial pilot. She’s only 18 and got her PPL the day before lockdown so she hasn’t been able to fly during all that beautiful weather but today she was able to fly again and I got to go up with her – it was absolutely amazing! I am so proud of her.

I loved every minute of it and can’t wait until she lets me fly with her again.

Well, I’m off back down to the crafting house to play with some more goodies, they’re from the new Autum/Winter catalogue which will go live in August but as a demonstrator I get to play with the goodies first.

I will be back soon to show you what I’ve made. Until then
